Hello Dini, my name is Bet. Thank you for sharing about your struggles. I am proud of you for asking for help. I am here to encourage you on your journey with Jesus. Take comfort in the fact that God loves you and nothing can separate you from His love. I appreciate your desire to resist temptation and maintain lifestyle purity. As believers we are always wise to seek the truth and power we need in God's Holy Word and through His Holy Spirit. That is the only way to live well before the face of our Lord, no matter what temptation or trial we are experiencing. There is no fast way of stopping bad habits. It takes a lot of self-discipline and prayer and the power of God. Dini, below I have put 4 Bible verses about lifestyle purity. Read them and then choose at least one of these verses to memorize and talk to God about every day. I pray that you feel God's presence and His holy power in your life today in a special way. 1. 2 Corinthians 5:17--"Anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!"
2. 1 John 1:9--"If we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness."
3. 1 Corinthians 10:13--"The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure (without giving into sin)."
4. 1 Corinthians 6:18--"So run away from sexual sin. It involves the body in a way that no other sin does. So if you commit sexual sin, you are sinning against your own body."
