Amenhotep III

 (Amenophis III) reigned over Egypt from about 1386 to 1349 BCE, presiding over a "golden age" of unprecedented peace, prosperity, and cultural brilliance during the 18th Dynasty. His long, largely peaceful reign, known for extensive building projects like the Luxor Temple, diplomatic achievements, and immense wealth from gold, saw Egypt reach its peak influence under his rule and that of his influential Great Royal Wife, Queen Tiye, before his son Akhenaten took the throne.

• Interpretation of Dreams: Joseph correctly interpreted Pharaoh's dreams of seven fat cows/ears of grain followed by seven lean ones/blighted ears, foretelling years of plenty and severe famine.
• Appointment as Viceroy: Pleased by Joseph's wisdom, Pharaoh made him ruler over all Egypt, giving him his signet ring, fine linen robes, a gold chain, and a chariot, making him second only to Pharaoh.
• Provisioning Egypt: Joseph oversaw the collection and storage of grain during the seven years of abundance, ensuring Egypt had food during the subsequent famine.
• Reunion with Family: During the famine, Joseph's brothers came to Egypt seeking food, leading to their reconciliation and the eventual migration of Jacob's family to Egypt.
