Habakkuk didn’t believe in The Quran

 

Based on the timeline of historical events and religious texts, the Prophet Habakkuk did not know of or believe in the Quran during his lifetime. Habakkuk was an Old Testament Hebrew prophet who lived around the 7th century BC, roughly 1,300 years before the revelation of the Quran in the 7th century AD

. 

However, there are different perspectives on this topic:

• Historical/Biblical Perspective: Habakkuk prophesied the Babylonian invasion of Judah and focused on themes of faith, divine justice, and the sovereignty of God within the context of the Hebrew covenant.
• Islamic Perspective: In some Islamic traditions, passages in the Book of Habakkuk (specifically chapter 3) are interpreted as prophecies regarding the coming of the Prophet Muhammad and the revelation of the Quran. For example, some scholars interpret the reference to God coming from "Paran" (Habakkuk 3:3) as a reference to Mecca.
• Interfaith Dialogue Perspective: In a documented debate between Imam Ali al-Ridha and the Exilarch (leader of the Jewish community in Baghdad), the Imam argued that Habakkuk foretold the rise of Muhammad and his community. 

In summary, while Habakkuk did not live to see or believe in the Quran, some, particularly in Islamic tradition, interpret his writings as having predicted it.
