Joseph and money

 Based on the biblical narrative in Genesis, 

there is no evidence that Joseph loved money or was motivated by greed. Instead, the Bible portrays Joseph as a faithful steward who managed immense wealth for Pharaoh during a severe famine, ultimately saving lives. 

Here is a breakdown of Joseph's relationship with money and wealth in the Bible:

• Stewardship over Greed: While Joseph collected all the money, livestock, and land in Egypt and Canaan for Pharaoh, the text suggests this was to manage the famine crisis and fulfill his duty to the king, not for personal gain.
• Generosity towards Family: When his brothers came to buy grain, Joseph intentionally returned their money to them in their sacks, displaying a desire to provide for his family rather than exploit them for more profit.
• A "Blessed" Life: Joseph's wealth is described as a blessing from God, allowing him to feed the known world during the famine. His success is often attributed to his integrity and diligence, both as a slave in Potiphar's house and as a ruler in Egypt.
• Focus on Purpose: Joseph viewed his position as a way to fulfill a higher purpose, telling his brothers, "God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance" (Genesis 45:7). 

In summary, the Bible presents Joseph as a man who used his position to manage, save, and give rather than to selfishly accumulate wealth for himself.
