Manasseh

Manasseh, in Biblical history, refers to two distinct entities regarding "kingdoms" or territories:

Tribe of Manasseh (10 Northern Tribes): The tribe of Manasseh was one of the twelve tribes of Israel. When the Kingdom of Israel was divided, this tribe joined the Northern Kingdom of Israel. This tribe was divided into two regions: East Manasseh (across the Jordan) and West Manasseh. They were then included in the 10 tribes that disappeared after the northern kingdom was conquered by Assyria in 722 BC.

King Manasseh (Southern Kingdom): Manasseh son of Hezekiah was the 14th king of the Kingdom of Judah (southern) who ruled in Jerusalem. He was the longest reigning king in Judah (55 years) and is known for restoring idolatry.
