Why does God want your heart

He wants our hearts in order to Establish them

Our hearts have been wanderers over the earth and there has been nowhere to rest; but God says, 'Give me your heart and I will cause it to live in the land; I will establish it'. The trouble with our hearts is that they wander, they cannot rest.

The heart is symbolic of love and commitment. Love is the most powerful motivator of all. We will make sacrifices and bear burdens for those we love that we would not endure for any other reason: not for money, not for recognition, not for power. If love does not exist, our commitment will surely wane.

God desires your heart—representing your innermost self, including emotions, will, and reason—
because He loves you, desires a sincere relationship rather than mere rituals, and wants to transform you from the inside out. A surrendered heart allows God to align your life with His, ensuring your ultimate good, blessing, and spiritual alignment with Him.
Why God Wants Your Heart
  • For Relationship, Not Just Performance: God seeks a personal connection. He wants your love, devotion, and trust, not just outward obedience or rituals.
  • For Transformation and Cleansing: According to Ezekiel 36:26-28, He desires to replace a "stony" heart with a "heart of flesh" that is clean, tender, and aligned with His will.
  • For Your Own Good: God is a loving Father who knows that following Him leads to true joy, purpose, and the best blessings.
  • To Command Your Life: Because the heart is considered the center of a person's being—where thoughts, desires, and decisions originate—having the heart means He has all of you, not just parts.
  • To Establish and Empower You: God promises to strengthen and stabilize your life when it is rooted in Him.
What It Means to Give God Your Heart
  • Undivided Devotion: It means moving away from a divided loyalty between God and the world, giving Him total dedication.
  • Sincere Repentance: It involves turning away from self-centeredness and toward God's ways.
  • Trust and Surrender: It is trusting Him enough to let Him lead your decisions, actions, and desires.
Ultimately, God seeks your heart not to restrict you, but to free you to become the person He created you to be, as mentioned in this Facebook post.
