God wasn’t angry with Elihu

 God was not angry with 

Elihu because his speeches were generally accurate, focusing on God's sovereignty and righteousness, rather than falsely accusing Job of hidden sins like the other friends did. Elihu addressed Job's self-righteousness, viewing suffering as discipline and correction rather than merely punishment, aligning more closely with divine truth. 

Key reasons Elihu was not rebuked:

• Truthful Perspective: Unlike Job’s friends, who accused Job of being wicked, Elihu correctly pointed out that Job was justifying himself more than God.
• Focus on God's Majesty: Elihu’s arguments anticipated God's own speech, pointing out God’s, power and wisdom in creation.
• Correction, Not Condemnation: Elihu viewed suffering as a means to prevent pride, rather than solely as retribution for past sin.
• Targeted Wrongdoings: Instead of speculative accusations, Elihu addressed specific inappropriate statements Job made in his suffering. 

While Elihu was not rebuked, he was not praised either, as God primarily spoke to correct Job's perspective on his own righteousness.
