Jesus born Virgin

According to the Gospels of Matthew (1:18-20) and Luke (1:35), Jesus was conceived through the Holy Spirit and born of

the Virgin Mary, making him uniquely the Son of God. Christian theology holds that this divine origin does not mean he was not human, but rather that he was fully God and fully human simultaneously, inhabiting a real human body.

Key aspects regarding Jesus's nature:
  • Conceived by the Holy Spirit: Jesus was born to a virgin, Mary, through the power of the Holy Spirit, which directly connects his origin to God.
  • Truly Human: The Bible emphasizes that Jesus was human in every respect, having a physical body, growing, and ultimately dying. He is often referred to as the "Son of Man".
  • Fully Divine: While human, Jesus is also considered God in human flesh—the second person of the Trinity.
  • Not a "Mix": He is not a blend of human and divine, but rather one person with two natures—true God and true man.
The incarnation—God becoming flesh—was necessary for his mission, allowing him to be the "perfect God-man".
