“Better give than take”

It is more blessed to give than to receive" (often phrased as "better to give than take") is a principle originating from 

Acts 20:35 in the Bible, highlighting that generosity brings greater joy, fulfillment, and "blessedness" (happiness) than selfishly acquiring. Giving fosters a positive, helpful, and community-oriented mindset.

• Biblical/Ethical Root: Jesus taught that giving is more "blessed" (Greek: makarion, meaning happy/fulfilled). It is a lesson in humility, as seen when Jesus washed his disciples' feet.
