Here are some thoughts on the blogs you sent me. You have written some profound truths about God and our relationship with him.

Agape love involves faithfulness, commitment, and an act of the will. It is different from other types of love in the Bible by its lofty moral nature and strong character. It beautifully described in 1 Corinthians 13. It is certainly in the Bible because it is who God is. 1John 4:8 “God is love.”


God does not change his mind about his love for us. He has known exactly who each of us is from the beginning and loves us anyway.


Psalm 86:15 But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.


Psalm 103:17 But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him….


The Bible claims to be the Word of God.


2Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.


2Peter 1:21 For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.


You say that you lost your first love. That happens to people. In the book of Revelation Jesus has a message for the church at Ephesus. He says they have lost their first love. His advice is “Turn back and work as you did at first.” Revelation 2:1-7.


You mention several times that at one point you lost everything. Can you tell me what that means?
