Giving

 A few thoughts on giving.

2Corinthians 9:7. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

My husband and I use this verse to help us determine our gifts. Some opportunities are interesting and we are drawn to them. Others seem to have no impact. It seems to offer good guidance.

Matthew 6: 21. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

This is a good verse to Check your priorities.

Matthew 6:1. Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.

Let God guide your giving. Don’t try to impress others.
