The Plan

 The earth’s problems began when God placed man and woman in a garden paradise and tested them by saying that there was only one thing they were forbidden to do: eat the fruit of one tree.

Well, you know from people today that if you say don’t do one thing, that’s exactly what they want to do. They thought they would become like gods themselves. It didn’t work. It was the devil’s own lie. God punished them by throwing them out of the garden to be on their own with their imperfect ability to make moral choices and lack of wisdom which God had planned to provide. (Genesis 1-3) This sin nature has been in every human since. There is no spirit or the ability to communicate with God unless a person comes in repentance and accepts the salvation that God has provided through Jesus.

Don’t hate people who don’t know the truth. They are blind. Feel free to hate the devil and all the sin that people do. God still loves sinners, which is amazing considering that so many thumb their nose at him. He is so patient, waiting for people to repent. Most people don’t realize that there will be a judgment day. They think that they are living in an acceptable way. They will pay a huge price for that someday. Pray for the unbelievers or those caught up in a false religion.

There are wonderful things about the world God created. The beauty of nature, the artistic nature of man to build beautiful buildings or to paint beautiful pictures, to write literature, to make medical advances and so on. Think of the good things and thank God for them.

Yes, governments are corrupt. Can you think of one that isn’t? I can’t either. And yet God uses these godless corrupt people to accomplish his purposes.

We can choose what to think about.
Philippians 4:8. And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and praiseworthy.
