I think you are understanding spiritual truth in a way you never have before, and that is wonderful.

On the best day of our lives we are still imperfect sinners that God has chosen to redeem. We repent earnestly, but imperfectly, needing to confess sin at times for the rest of our lives. God knows that . He knows our desire to obey and our inability to do it perfectly. He looks at our heart and can see that we are sincere in our desire to obey and that is what matters to him. He rejects fancy speech with a heart far from him.

1John 1:8 If we say we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and refusing to accept the truth.

God is both the author of our salvation and the one who gives us the power to live the Christian life.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.

Grace is the favor, the kindness, that God chooses to give us even though we don’t deserve it. All we have to do is accept it.
