God created the Earth

 Re: Why. After God created the earth, he created man to take care of it. He gave man free will—the ability to make his own decisions—but he knew their were moral issues beyond the capability of the human brain so he wanted to be able to instruct man in these complex issues. Man decided that God was a nice friend, but he wanted to be his own boss. God did not create man to be a robot, always doing what was commanded, so man had the capability of being wrong. Disobeying God’s commands is called sin, so that is how we got to where we are. There can be no sin where God lives. We needed salvation and God graciously provided it through Jesus.
