Some Comments

 A communion service is for the purpose of remembering what Jesus has done for us.

Luke 22:19 And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”

Cleansing from sin is confession and repentance.

1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.


To take the Lord’s Supper and confess sins with no intent of changing your behavior is to misunderstand God’s offer of forgiveness and to delude yourself with a false sense of security.

1John 1:7 If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin.
