Demonic Activity

 You mention demonic activity from your parents. I think you have discovered an important problem. If neither parent has committed their life to Christ, they are vulnerable to demonic activity. They may be unaware of it. Demons can invade a non Christian, but not a Christian because of the Holy Spirit indwelling the believer. They can harass a believer, but are powerless to indwell. (1John 4:4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.) James 4:7 tells us to submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you.
