A Message from Elvis Presley

At the pinnacle of his success, in the late 1950’s, Elvis visited his former pastor and said, “I’m the most miserable young man you’ve ever seen! I’ve got all the money I’ll ever need to spend. I’ve got millions of fans. I’ve got friends. But I’m doing what you taught me not to do, and I’m not doing the things you taught me to do!”

Jesus taught it like this: “Whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and DOETH them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and DOETH them NOT, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it” (Matthew 7:24-27).

Jesus also told the parable of a rich man, in hell, who pleaded frantically with Abraham to send someone from the dead to his brothers, to warn them about the place of torment he was in, lest they come there when they die. But Abraham said: “The Scriptures have warned them again and again. Your brothers can read them any time they want to” (Luke 16:29). The rich man cried out: “NO, Father Abraham, they won’t bother to read them! But if someone is sent to them from the dead, then they will turn from their sins” (Luke 16:30). Abraham replied: “If they won’t listen to Moses and the prophets, they won’t listen even though someone rises from the dead!” (Luke 16:31).

Friends, I don’t know where Elvis’ soul is tonight. From the looks of things (see video below) it didn't look promising for him. But be it heaven or hell, Elvis is warning, “Oh, people, don’t worship me and my wicked, rebellious, rock & roll image. It was all vanity!!! All the promiscuous sex, all the drugs, all the fleeting fame and glory; it was ALL for NOTHING!!! Please, I’m begging you … listen to Jesus’ humble teachings of love, and DO THEM! Idolize Him, not me!!! FOLLOW Him in your life, daily seeking the richness of eternal life in His glorious heavenly kingdom.
